What are the Auditions and Recital?

Twice a year, the Central Toronto Branch of ORMTA offers young musicians an opportunity to develop their performance skills, receive helpful adjudication, and to be awarded scholarships through the Auditions & Recitals Program. Students of all branch members are encouraged to participate in this positive learning experience. Late intermediate and senior students may be eligible to continue on to the GTA Zone competition. See below for an info graphic which outlines the process from the local to national level.

This program is open to student instrumentalists and vocalists from Beginner to Diploma Level! We welcome repertoire from a variety of syllabi, including popular listings.

We need a minimum of 6 students of an instrument group to hire a specialized adjudicator. We are looking for STRING PLAYERS, WOODWINDS & JAZZ STUDENTS!
